<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0014.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0014.jpg" alt="" title="Pear sorting for the perfect pears" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-312" /></a><br />
Over 400 packham pears were sorted through to find 3 heros, as several ideas were shot. The pear season was ending, which meant fewer made the grade.<br />
<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0011.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0011.jpg" alt="" title="IMG_0011" width="500" height="671" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-321" /></a><br />
Nic Webb, expert wood craftsman, and designer, made oak shavings from different oaks, to experiment with texture, colour and shape. The sharpest and most controllable blades were most successful. After experimenting, planes used to make guitars were the best, to get the thinnest shavings that were wide enough, and long enough to work with.<br />
<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0013.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0013.jpg" alt="" title="IMG_0013" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-329" /></a><br />
<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0011_raisins.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0011_raisins.jpg" alt="" title="IMG_0011_raisins" width="500" height="401" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-330" /></a><br />
Many types of raisin were looked at, to ensure the ones that were shot looked colourful and juicy.<br />
<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0002.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0002.jpg" alt="" title="IMG_0002" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-334" /></a><br />
Many varieties of apple were considered for the baked apple Ad. They behave differently when baked, so baking tests were done in a whole manner of ways to find the best looking apple that still said &#8216;baked&#8217;.<br />
<a href="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0004.jpg"><img src="http://sophiebroadbridgeblog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/IMG_0004.jpg" alt="" title="IMG_0004" width="500" height="375" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-332" /></a><br />
A whole variety of cinnamon sticks were also sourced for the apple and cinnamon Ad.</p>
